A couple of weeks back I started a series for my newsletter. I shared stories of my 30 years of existence (a four-part series). The last part of the series was sent today.
I’m turning 30 in two months. I still have a lot to learn. I want to celebrate in a memorable way.
On January 22, 2016, I will be running 10K at the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon 2016. I want to take this opportunity to raise awareness and funds and dedicate my run to Salam ya Seghar. I’m hosting a campaign called 30K through Just Giving. My target is to raise 5,000 dirhams (1,300+ USD). The fundraising will start today, the 8th of November, and will end on the event date but would love it if I reach my target on my birthday, the 24th of December.
Please help me achieve my goal!
Over the years, I would like to believe that I’ve learned to become more selfless and more connected to myself at the same time. Life is amazing. We struggle. We fail. We move on. We grow.
I am very excited to be 30!
P.S. There are a million ways we can make this world a better place. A lot of it involves only ourselves and our minds. I want to encourage everyone to look proactively for ways to make the world awesome, bettering ourselves along the way.
I’ve listed causes below you can support.
UNV Online Volunteering, I started working with them only this year. There are a lot of causes you can support through their site and the tasks range from simple things such as writing postcards for the earthquake victims in Nepal to doing webmaster work.
