2016 Resolutions

Best Things, Resolutions

While I have so many things to be thankful for this year, I also cannot wait for it to be over. To be honest, I also want to skip 2016.

I hope 2016 becomes the year where I get to fulfill all my wishes and keep all my New Year’s resolutions. I want to swim my way through 2016 and welcome 2017 with a smile on my face! I’m excited about 2017 for a lot of reasons.

Here are some of the things I need to do this 2016

  1. I learned to keep quiet, and I realized that I’m not helping anyone by doing so. So this year, I will try to explain my stance and opinions to people. Hopefully, this will make everyone evolve, including me. And I say try because I will still keep my mouth shut on most occasions.
  2. Re-tune my body clock. Wake up early and run in the morning instead of the evening. Go to bed early too.
  3. Me! I’m planning to work on a couple of things this 2016 one of which is to revive my Learning to Love Yourself project. It’s time to take care of my long-term self.
  4. Read all the books on my shelf. Every year I promise myself that I will finish reading all the books on my shelf and that I will not acquire any new books until I do so and every year I fail. Except this 2016 when I will crush this goal.
  5. About no. 3 and 4, I will spend a lot of my time studying this year. I will be either sleeping, studying, or reading.
  6. Communicate more and better. I’m not the type of person who likes to Skype; maybe I should start doing that. Write more letters.
  7. Social media and I have a love-hate relationship. This year, I’m prioritizing journaling over social media.
  8. Go to the beach more. Initially, I thought of traveling more this 2016 but I’m putting that on hold. I might take one trip next year, I have to make it count.
  9. Study for IELTS and get the grade I want. Learn a language and not just the basics!
  10. Spend more time with my godchildren, because they’re amazing!

What about you? What are your plans for 2016?
